Solar Thermal Hot Water heating systems use sunlight to provide free hot water throughout the year.
They typically consist of one or two large solar collector panels mounted on a roof which are filled with a heat transfer fluid. This fluid heats up in the sun, and is then pumped to the hot water cylinder where the heat is exchanged in an internal coil to provide free hot water.
They will supplement your existing hot water system during the winter months, and during the summer months they can completely satisfy your hot water needs without the use of a boiler. Over the course of a year, they can typically provide around 60% of your annual hot water usage, reducing your energy bills, and lowering your carbon footprint.
As AGMS Independent Energy is MCS accredited, our solar panel installations qualify for the government RHI scheme, reducing the pay off period of the installation and making you money in the long term.
We service the whole of Bedfordshire, including Milton Keynes, Huntington, Biggleswade, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, and St Neots as well as further afield too.
Andy and Chris made a fab job of installing our new solar thermal panels. With an attention to detail, they put the time and effort into making sure it worked first time and paired with other aspects of the building work we were having done. Great job- Thoroughly recommended
